Exhibitors Spotlight - Pete Bartlett

When Pete Bartlett contacted me earlier in the year, I was struck by his editorial quality portfolio. Amazed how his slick and concise photography, was transferable into weddings. What bride would not want to look they have been captured for 'Vogue' magazine. Pete caught up with us this week, sharing what makes a perfect wedding.

What do you most love about weddings?

What I love the most about weddings, and I imagine we're all the same here, is the celebration of love - between the couple, their families and all the people that have meant something throughout their lifetimes. It's in the air at a wedding and it's a beautiful thing!

English wedding or go abroad?

That's a tough one, I love both. I'm English and I love all the traditions of an English country wedding. I'm based in London but I do prefer a country wedding. As a photographer, I love photographing abroad too, the light and scenery can be magical.

DJ or band?

Band everytime

What one piece of advice would you give to a bride?

On the day, let friends and family take the strain, relax, savour it … and remember to breathe!

Small DIY or Big Budget wedding?

Small DIY - I love weddings where the friends and family have got creative, given their time and love and got involved. I think it makes for a more unique and intimate day. Go small!

If you would like to meet Pete to speak more about your wedding photography, join us on Sunday 8th June at The Nostalgic Wedding Fair, Guildhall Winchester, Hampshire.
